Scryve Mini Tutorial

There are a couple of ways to use our website. The quickest way is to go to the home page and do a search. Search for companies by name, and if that doesn’t give you what you need, try selecting the ‘All Content’ radio button under the search box. Once you click on a company’s profile, you can then click on the ‘Alternatives’ button to get a look at how other companies in the same area rate.

The second way is through the use of the browser tool. If you download it, any website you go to will show a rating (if we’ve got one) in the top right corner. Click on the rating to see that company’s profile, and then you can click on alternatives to see if we have any companies doing the same thing that are better rated.

If it turns out we don’t have content on a company you know about, you can create a new profile. Small companies that you know behave incredibly responsibly would really benefit from being shown as an alternative to the behemoths we presently rate. In scryving them, you’ll support us, them, and their behavior. And it only takes a couple of clicks.

Once you are on a company profile page, the content and the rating there are dictated by the users. Read the Environmental and Community descriptions, and give the company the rating you think its description deserves. We’ll then average that in with the rest of the ratings. If you see something in the descriptions that is inaccurate or outdated, this is a wiki site, and you can change it. All the users get the responsibility of catching the things that go wrong.

There are some great parts about scryve, and some parts that we are planning on spending a whole lot more time on, so test, experiment, and most of all, let us know what you think. Email us if you have questions, comments, issues, or concerns
